Vintage clothes shopping is one of the best ways to build a unique look that matches your personality at basement prices, all while doing your bit for the planet by avoiding fast fashion. However, if you’re going to be spending your hard-earned cash on someone’s else pre-loved garments, you want to be sure they come from a high quality supplier. Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of what we think are the top 5 best vintage clothes shops in Granada, so you can dress to impress when you head out for those Tuesday night tapas.
1. Ropero Vintage
Concealed behind an understated façade, Ropero Vintage offers a rich selection of 80s, 90s and noughties fashions, from leather and bomber jackets to bluejeans and flannel shirts. Located just across the street from the University of Granada’s faculty of law, Ropero Vintage has attracted a vibrant student clientele who can be seen sporting its wares in the city’s bars and clubs. The interior decor of the shop is minimalist yet trendy, reflecting the retro vibe of the garments it stocks. The prices are not the cheapest, but are still very reasonable for the quality on offer. Ropero Vintage is a must visit on any vintage shopping expedition.
2. Mosaico Vintage
Mosaico is a newly-founded vintage retailer, who recently opened two physical stores in Granada and Málaga. Their mission statement is to provide a wide range of high quality clothing and footwear, which will reduce the demand for fast fashion and combat mankind’s carbon footprint on the planet. The majority of their stock is imported from Germany, cleaned up and repaired, and sold at affordable prices.

3. BHD Vintage
BHD Vintage’s main business model is kilo sale vintage wear, which is carried out from a warehouse on the outskirts of town. However, they also run a retail store in the city centre, on Calle San Juan de Dios, which specialises in vintage sportswear and outdoor apparel. Among their stock you can find branded 80s windbreakers, sweatshirts, joggers and leather biking jackets.
While technically a second hand shop which offers more than just clothes, vintage garments feature strongly on the hangers of this Plaza de Toros outlet. It is a non-profit shop which reinvests its profits into charity, so you can feel extra good about bulking up your wardrobe from HUMANA. Located near the University of Granada’s main Cartuja campus, HUMANA’s clientele is drawn largely from the city’s large, young and socially-conscious student population. It is also the cheapest shop on our list, and they often do sales on their entire stock, so pay regular visits and you’ll be guaranteed some unbelievable deals.
5. La Buhardilla Vintage
La Buhardilla is perhaps the most denim-heavy of the shops on this list, so it is perfect for lovers of all things denim, from bluejeans to jean jackets and everything in between. Its name is painted in a bold, eye-catching font on above the entrance, juxtaposing with its minimalist interior, which features whitewashed walls interspersed with patches of bare brick, exposed lightbulbs, and its envious collection of clothes efficiently arranged to make the most of the limited floor space.
This concludes our list of the top 5 best vintage clothes shops in Granada, however honourable mentions have to be given to Contrabanda and Oh Oh July Vintage, two other excellent vintage clothes stores which will no doubt receive their own guide soon.
